My wife, Maggie, and I moved to San Francisco in May 2014 to plant a church. A couple years later, we combined efforts with another church plant and became Citizens Church.  

Prior to California, we spent four years in a Houston suburb where we helped to start Covenant Community Church. While there, I was a case worker, high school math teacher, and a full-time pastor. We grew up in Florida and attended seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Maggie and I have three beautiful, crazy children -- Shepherd (7), Trinity (6), and Lucy (5).
